Ek Pahel National Child Labour Karbala centre has opened bank accounts of 5 girls belonging to minority class under Sukanya Samridhi Yojna. A ceremony was organised to mark the beginning of this initiative at Head Post Office in Pratappura on the occasion of "World Saving Bank Day". Besides this, a workshop "Chaya” was also organised on the “sexual harassment” by Adv. Namrata Mishra, “gender sensitisation” by Dr. Saroj Prashant and financial support by Dr. Henna Kainth. Smt. Manisha Sinha - Post Master General was the chief guest of the event and Shri Amit Pathak - SSP, Agra was the guest of honour. It is a great initiative for the financial security of young girls as the account will get an interest of 9% and the amount can be utilized by their parents for their education or marriage at 18 years of age.
